A two-day training for Field Investigators (FIs) was conducted on 22–23 May 2026 in Jaipur under the Wellcome Trust-funded project on the Economic and Health Impact Assessment of Heat Adaptation Action. The training prepared the field team for physiological and meteorological data collection before and after cool roof interventions in selected settlements. The classroom sessions covered the project overview, interventions, and vulnerable groups, including school-going children, elderly individuals, and outdoor workers. Training also focused on physiological measurements such as blood pressure, heart rate, and body surface temperature, along with hands-on demonstrations on the correct use of monitoring devices. FIs were further trained on indoor and outdoor temperature monitoring using Tempnote devices as well as the use of KoBo forms for accurate data collection.   Field pilot of meteorological and physiological measurement Second day of training, a field pilot was conducted in Jhalana Bai Ki Kothi in Jaipur. Project team visited 4 households and collected information using the daily tracking pre-intervention tool on KoBo. Meteorological readings and physiological measurements were also recorded for available family members. The doctors accompanied the team and provided on-site guidance during the pilot exercise. The team also visited the local PHC along with Dr. Vaseem Baig and met Dr. Amit Sethi, who assured support for the referral system during the intervention period.
