The IEG team visited New Bapu Ji Nagar in Bhubaneswar's southeast zone on February 19, 2024, and held a community meeting with frontline health workers, Anganwadi workers, Mahila Samity members, local ward representatives, and residents. Led by Prof. Purnamita Dasgupta, Prof. Rajib Dasgupta, and Dr. Arabinda Mishra the team introduced the Wellcome Trust-funded project "Economic and Health Impact Assessment of Heat Adaptation Actions" and thanked the community for their support in the ongoing baseline survey. The visit also included interactions at Anganwadi centers and with local households.
